DERMAPLANING
Never heard of it? What is it?
Dermaplaning has been practiced by dermatologists and plastic surgeons for over 40 years. Dermaplaning was originally performed as an alternative to chemical exfoliation and later to surfacing treatments and deeper chemical peels.
Epi blading, also referred to as Dermaplaning or epidermal leveling (says it all really) is a gentle, painless method of exfoliating. A surgical blade is utilised to eliminate the outer build up of layers fo dead skin cells and refine skin texture. It significantly enhances the penetration of active ingredients for a renewed refreshed complexion. It can be performed as a stand alone treatment followed by a mask or where clinically indicated to elicit a stronger response in conjunction with a chemical peel.
A great pick me up and can be teamed with many of our other facials.

PEELS
We use a selection or combination of peels – Lactic, Salicylic, Glycolic, Enzymes and more. Peels exfoliate the outer layers of skin, which help over time to improve skin colour, texture and tone. Your treatment will be personalised.
Individual results may vary, not everyone responds the same way, and not everyone is a candidate for a peel.
Peel treatments are well tolerated, however it’s normal to experience either strong tingly sensations or intense heat whilst having a treatment. You are not left alone during this period and constant monitoring is practiced. I will even hold your hand if you like.
Your skin may feel dry and flake and peel for 2 – 7 days depending on the depth of the peel if it’s being performed at the same time as, or in conjunction with other agreed services, they can be part of your ongoing regime or as a stand alone treatment.
I do ask that you take heed of before and after care instructions for optimum results.

SKIN REJUVENATION using IPL (Intense Pulsed Light)
IPL Treatments improve the skin tone and imperfections (pigmentation & capillaries) associated with ageing and sun damage. This treatment is included in your Just Body Premium Facial.
Photorejuvenation with IPL applies heat to the skin promoting the creation of collagen and elastin fibres, replenishing the skin from the inside out.
Collagen Enhancement:
By using IPL the light emitted creates a stimulation to the skin cells to produce more collagen. Regular treatments are recommended. Amazing results and comfortable. This treatment is included in the Just Body Signature Facial.
For Pigmentation and blood vessels IPL (Intense Pulsed Light) uses light to absorb melanin (the dark pigment in your skin) also the red colour in your blood vessels. This light converts to heat, which damages the target cells without disrupting the skin surface.

IPL TREATMENTS
We know that every person is not the same, that’s why there are a range of “settings” that allow me to treat you individually and more effectively based on knowledge, experience and your needs.
Based on the principle of selective photothermolysis, the IPL system emits pulses of filtered light that are attracted to melanin, a pigment found in hair or skin. The light is absorbed by the melanin and transformed into heat, selectively destroying the germinating cells that feed the hair follicles or skin for growth. By eliminating these cells, the hair then dies and begins to fall out, inhibiting future growth.
IPL treats a wide range of skin types, problems, and hair issues. A consultation is needed to do a test patch, asses the cost and discuss a treatment plan.

We use both hot and strip wax, before and after lotions. Our products are of the highest quality and are NOT recycled. Just Body adheres to strict hygiene conditions.

BROW STYLING

The next generation is Brow Henna – natural eyebrow tinting with a tattoo effect on the skin. A wonderful way to see if you would like to go with tattooing the next time Joanne is up her from Melbourne. Henna stays on the hair for up to 6 weeks, no ammonia, lead or peroxide. This treatment will help to strengthen the hair and promote growth to help restore the natural shape and condition of the eyebrows.
TINTING
Tinting is used to enhance the pigment in your lashes and brows for our fair maidens or to freshen up fading due to swimming and sun.
